Labelexpo Americas 2006 has been recognized as one of the top 200 US trade exhibitions by leading exhibition industry magazine ‘Tradeshow Week’. This specialist exhibition focuses on helping the US and international labeling industry to identify new commercial opportunities in a rapidly expanding global sector. Labelexpo Americas was ranked 139th in the ‘Tradeshow Week 200’ annual directory.

The event is organized by Tarsus Group and has been established for 18 years and grown significantly since its creation in 1989. Labelexpo Americas takes place every two years at the Donald E. Stephens Center in the Rosemont area of Chicago. In 2006, Labelexpo Americas welcomed over 456 leading label industry suppliers and machine manufacturers as exhibitors. The show's square footage has risen nearly 6 percent from 184,370 in 2004 to 194,845 in 2006.

The 2006 event welcomed 13,256 visitors from 88 countries. The show provides an international platform for label industry suppliers to unveil and sell new machinery, launch innovative materials and showcase the latest technologies in this fast-moving industry. Over 20 percent of visitors to Labelexpo Americas 2006 traveled from outside the US, including large delegations from Mexico, Brazil, China, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Italy and the UK, making it an increasingly international event.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director at Tarsus Group, said: ‘We're very pleased to be recognized by our peers as one of the top trade shows. With the event being very specialist and technical in nature, it's a great honor to be rewarded in this way by the huge exhibition community in the US.’
