Almost 200 suppliers have already signed up for FESPA’s next flagship event, FESPA 2007 (Messe Berlin June 5-9 2007). These exhibitors account for 14,000 square meters, which is half of the floor space available. Several companies are taking sizeable stands of more than 200 square meters each, including Agfa, Avery, Fujifilm Sericol, Saati, M&R, MHM, Mutoh, Sakurai, Spandex, Thieme, and Sefar.

Increasing demand for floor space has prompted FESPA to place an option on two additional halls at Messe Berlin. Frazer Chesterman, FESPA exhibitions director, commented: ‘We are really pleased with the response we have had from suppliers so far, particularly from key names in the screen printing sphere. We are seeing some of our long-standing screen printing exhibitors request bigger stands than ever before, indicating that they will have much to show in the way of new products and techniques. We have increased our target for FESPA 2007 by 2,000 square meters to 28,000 square meters, and judging by our experience to date, there is more than sufficient interest in the market to meet this.’

Building on the two halls of digital technology at FESPA 2005 and the success of the debut FESPA Digital Printing Europe held in Amsterdam in May 2006, digital technology will continue to have a significant presence at FESPA’s flagship show next year in Berlin.

Chesterman commented: ‘As a result of the success of FESPA Digital in Amsterdam, many of that show’s exhibitors did not hesitate to sign up for FESPA 2007 in Berlin immediately. In light of this, we are absolutely confident that visitors to next year’s show will experience the best of screen and digital exhibited under one roof to date, involving applications such as textiles, electronics, sign, glass, ceramics, to name a few. It will be particularly interesting to monitor the presence of screen/digital hybrid solutions at FESPA 2007, given that one of the big launches at FESPA 2005 was the M-Press from Agfa and Thieme.’

FESPA plans to run an educational seminar program at FESPA 2007 to complement the wealth of technology that will be in action on the show floor.
