The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA), the world’s leading professional society dedicated to advancing the flexographic printing process, has announced it has chosen an official theme for its 2007 Annual Forum. ‘Crossing Borders…Flexo’s Global Gateway’ will be the fundamental premise of the 2007 conference, which will be staged on May 6-9, 2007 at the Palais des Congres de Montral, in Quebec, Canada.

FFTA/FTA President Mark Cisternino commented: ‘The new theme “hits the nail right on the head”. After much discussion, the Forum Committee, along with FTA staff, chose “Crossing Borders…Flexo’s Global Gateway” because of the international attention the event will garner. The attractive and convenient venue of Canada’s Palais des Congres de Montral really lends itself to a diverse gathering of flexographers from all over the world.

Cisternino remarked that attendees can anticipate many changes at next year's forum and then called attention to the fact that this year, for the first time ever, the Forum Committee will be working hand in hand with the FFTA Research & Technology Committee on developing the program content, with plans to incorporate many of the initiatives recommended by the seven Strategic Planning Initiative (SPI) councils.

The Forum Chair, Dave Nunez of Great Lakes Packaging Corporation, added ‘Forum will be one of the key conferences to attend in 2007. Flexographers seeking to expand mindshare on an international level should be there in full force. The program content, which is being developed now, will offer valuable insights for all segments of the flexographic industry.’
