FFTA and Clemson to host second Flexographic Process Printing Symposium
Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA) and Clemson University will co-sponsor the Fall edition of the Flexographic Process Printing Symposium, set to take place September 20-22, 2006, at Clemson University’s Madren Conference Center.
Duane Woolbright, Clemson’s symposia coordinator, noted: ‘The symposium held last March, drew more than 50 attendees and more than 15 industry experts. We fully expect September’s event to be as successful in providing attendees with a dynamic setting for discussions, networking and troubleshooting advice.’
The two and a half-day seminar is designed for individuals with a basic understanding of the fundamentals of flexography, and who are new to printing process color or who wish to expand their understanding of color reproduction. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of press characterization, the fundamentals of color measurement, and the application of process color in the production environment. The symposium covers the gamut of print and image control issues, including color theory, print optimization, press characterization, fingerprint analysis, color profiling, proofing, and more.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and converse with peers and presenters at the suppliers’ panel question and answer session and during meals and social gatherings. Attendees are welcome to bring print samples and find solutions to their production issues.
The individual rate to attend the symposium is $795.00 per person. Full-time educators will receive a discount and may register for $295.00. Group rates are also available for parties of three or more at $695.00 per person.
