The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA) is launching a nationwide program of regional road shows that aim to provide the flexographic industry with affordable, comprehensive training solutions for every skill level.

The first road show will take place in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA, on October 19 at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). The attractive, easy-to-get-to locale was selected based on a high number of flexographic printing facilities in that area.

Jay Kaible, FTA’s director of business development said, ‘This new endeavor marks a new addition to FFTA’s ever-growing roster of educational programs. Like so many of our programs, it’s affordable, it’s easy and the road shows are right in your own backyard!’

Pewaukee’s road show at WCTC will offer four different three-and-a-half-hour sessions to accommodate attendees’ varying degrees of experience and knowledge. Attendees can select from two morning sessions that will run concurrently: basic flexo introduction and basic prepress introduction. Afternoon sessions will cater for the more experienced individual, who can select from intermediate flexo introduction or color for flexo introduction. Each session is $75 per FTA member and $150 per non-member. Space is limited to 35 students per session.

FTA/FFTA president Mark Cistermino commented, ‘These road shows mark yet another milestone in FFTA’s ongoing strategic planning initiative. In July of last year, the Association embarked on the lengthy venture whose purpose is to evaluate and refine FTA’s current business model – all in an effort to endure the organization’s relevance in the year’s to come. This is a perfect example of how FTA is keenly tuned into its members’ needs.’
