FINAT to put German economy under the microscope
An in-depth look at the state of Germany’s economy and its implications for the self-adhesive label printing industry will be a first-day highlight of the FINAT World Congress, to be held in Berlin on May 31 and June 1.
Prof Dr Norbert Walter, head of the Deutsche Bank Research bureau – one of the country’s leading ‘think tanks’ – will give a close examination of the economy in order to set the stage for a wider debate.
Professor Dr Walter is a leading German economist and advisor to the German government and he believes that there is now renewed business confidence in the country but there are still challenges facing corporate and political decision makers.
He will be supported in some of his views by Herr Helmut Schreiner, the president of VskE, the German label trade association, who will review the latest trends and developments in the German sector in the face of the structural evolution of consolidating global markets, technological innovations and the development of the emerging nations neighboring his country.
Another leading German expert, Prof Dr Arnold Weissman, of the University of Applied Sciences at Regensburg, and author of the ‘Weissman System’ of management adopted by more than 3,000 companies, will talk about the need for successful co-operation at all stages in the conduct of business.
The Congress will be held at Berlin’s Maritim Hotel and special rates are available for companies associated with FINAT or those considering joining it or VskE.
