Imprimerie Sainté Julie, a label converter based near Montreal in Canada, has purchased a Digital Galexie machine from French company Smag.

Marilène Fournier of Sainté Julie said: ‘The configuration of the Digital Galaxie, with one semi-rotary UV flexo, hot stamping and embossing, silkscreen printing station and semi-rotary die cutting, will enable our company to bring a new trend to the market. We are very excited about the arrival of this new machine, after visiting many companies in Europe that used the Digital Galexie.’

Stéphane Rateau, general manager of Smag, said: ‘We are one of the two HP partners for converting, but until now we were more focused on the European market. Since our new distributor for the North American market, KPG, was appointed, as well as other new distributors in South America, we want to increase our presence in the continent.’

The Digital Galexie press will be on display on stand 728 during Labelexpo Americas, before being installed at Imprimerie Sainté Julie after the event.
