Dantex introduces Actega EcoLeaf technology in PicoJet presses

With EcoLeaf providing an eco-friendly alternative to hot and cold foiling, the move highlights Dantex's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the digital inkjet label sector.

The partnership between the two companies is driven by an ambition to introduce innovative and value-added solutions to the digital inkjet label industry.

Designed for a wide variety of markets, EcoLeaf is a digital technology enabling metallization embellishments onto self-adhesive labels.

According to the company, traditional foiling methods typically result in 80 to 90 percent waste of foil. In contrast, EcoLeaf utilizes a glue trigger layer shaped like the intended image to reduce waste significantly.

This innovative process jets aluminum particles, adhering them to the glue layer to create a metallic image. This approach not only eliminates waste but also allows for the creation of multiple metallic colors.

Alongside the integration of EcoLeaf, the current PicoJet range already boasts numerous features, including the addition of new DRS (Digital Resolution System) and print head technology powered by Ricoh, as well as user-friendly PicoCenta and PicoPilot software. SuperText, SuperWhite and Su-perTactile technologies are also included, offering a wide range of finishing options.
