Delta Industrial, a manufacturer of web converting, packaging and finishing equipment, will participate in the Digital Label Summit to be held in Barcelona on March 24-25. Joel Oakes, a senior design engineer at Delta, will be a guest speaker. Oakes has extensive experience in designing custom manufacturing solutions for web converting and digital print finishing applications.

Oakes has spent the last 20 years designing and building web converting and packaging systems for a variety of industries, including medical, pharmaceutical, labels and labeling, and electronics. Before becoming joining Delta, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has been constructing servo-controlled processing and finishing equipment ever since.

Specializing in machine flexibility, and increased accuracies, Oakes has presented at numerous sites, including the 3M Converter College and the Applied Web Handling Conference.

Delta’s European technical sales director, Anders Haag, will also be available to answer questions.  Haag has 18 years experience in both web manufacturing and web converting, where he has been focusing on tight tolerance precision. The last five years he has spent targeting CO2 laser die cutting using a variety of laser intensities, and digital finishing processes for a wide array of industries.
