ETI Converting appoints Weldon as India distributor

ETI Converting Equipment has appointed New Delhi, India-based Weldon Celloplast as its exclusive distributor in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.
The Canada-based company, led by chairman and CEO François Bayzelon, manufactures in-line silicone and adhesive coating equipment for label converters. Its Cohesio and Labeline equipment is claimed to offer pressure sensitive material savings of between 30 percent and 70 percent, as well as reduced waste and increased efficiency.
Silicoat, an in-line silicone coating process, is suited to siliconized glassine, PET and other materials. Compact and equipped with an ETI UV curing system in a nitrogen chamber, Silicoat can be used for laboratory or in-house production.
Weldon Celloplast, founded by current managing director Harveer Sahni, is a manufacturer of self-adhesive labelstocks and other materials which represents some of the label industry’s leading international suppliers in India and neighboring countries.
‘Label printers are in constant need of finding ways to become more profitable,’ said Sahni. ‘We try to bring to their doorstep technologies that will restore their depleting profit margins.’
