Green Bay to install Atlas slitter rewinder

Green Bay Packaging, a Wisconsin, USA-based manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesive labelstock and paperboard packaging materials, is expanding its labelstock slitting capacity with the order of a 2,100mm (82in) wide Atlas OCS-2 center-surface slitter rewinder. The machine will be installed later this year.

‘We were particularly impressed with the level of service and attention to detail that Atlas afforded us during our decision making process,’ explained Paul Hasemeyer, senior vice president at Green Bay Packaging. ‘We knew their track record was good in the labelstock business and they certainly came up with the best and most cost-effective solution to meet our current requirements. We look forward to working with Atlas in the future and the start-up of our first Atlas slitter later this year.’

Since 1984, Green Bay Packaging has grown into one of the largest pressure-sensitive roll label suppliers in the US with coating facilities and slitting operations throughout the country and also in Mexico.
