Irish converter installs Bar Graphic Machinery slitter rewinder

Ireland-based self-adhesive label converter Label World has installed an Elite 370 DTR die-cut to register slitter rewinder from Bar Graphic Machinery.
‘Due to the recent economic crisis, we have noticed that many of our customers are leaving the ordering until the very last possible minute,’ explained Declan O’Rourke, managing director of Label World. ‘This of course creates a strain on our manufacturing capabilities, as it does with any other manufacturing company. Whilst Label World and its employees are more than capable of meeting our customers’ demands, it is imperative that we use the correct machinery to enable us to do so.
‘Once the labels have been printed on our HP digital press, all emphasis is focused on finishing the labels off-line in the fastest possible time. Whilst we did currently have such a machine, we were finding it increasingly harder to deal with our customer’s very tight demands and thus had to find an alternative.
‘The recent installation of BGM’s Elite 370 has proven to be outstanding and above all our expectations. The operators are able to re-register the machine within approximately 3-4 meters of media using the automatic registration mode, and job changeovers only take between 10 to 15 minutes from start to finish. In many cases the DTR is capable of completely finishing the product far quicker than even setting up our existing equipment.’
Daniel Craig Carr, sales manager of Bar Graphic Machinery, said: ‘We are delighted that Label World decided to purchase a new Elite servo die-cut to register slitter rewinder. One of the DTR’s outstanding functions is that the operator need not enter the repeat size of the cutter on the HMI operator interface, and more importantly, it is not necessary to change or modify any gearing on your existing tooling, this being a major advantage on set up down time.’
