Mario Cotta to offer new slitting products after acquisition

After the recent acquisition of UK-based Sigmala Technology, Mario Cotta will release its new line of slitting and rewinding products which will offer fully automatic alternatives to traditional pneumatic systems.

Guido Zannini, Mario Cotta CEO and president of Zincometal Group, said: ‘For the first time, this technology will allow customers with a low available budget to install fully automatic systems and at a very reasonable cost.’

A new line of fully-automated, all-electronic slitting and winding products are planned for release in September 2009. Servomotor controlled knifeholders, roll drive arms, automated transfer units, and powered unwind/rewind stands will all be available.
