South Africa-based label converter Uniprint has ordered a RSC slitter rewinder from Rotocontrol through the German company’s local distributor Rototec.

Uniprint’s managing director Bharat Mehta, technical manager Liam Gibson and production manager Lorne Andersen reportedly based their decision to purchase the Rotocontrol RSC slitter rewinder on its S-Drive servo technology which allows the machine to run unsupported film.

Bharat Mehta said: ‘Our goal is to ensure the highest standard of product and service quality in our offerings. We are confident that Rotocontrol will enable Uniprint to support this commitment with their market reputation and local support and service through Rototec.’

Established in 1926, Uniprint produces self-adhesive, flexible and shrink sleeve labels. Its label and packaging division operates flexo, litho, digital, silkscreen, foiling and laminating equipment. The company has manufacturing operations in Durban, regional sales offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and employs more than 700 people.
