Secure Print Equipment Suppliers has reported an ‘overwhelming response’ from Gulf Print and Pack 2013 held in Dubai. Malkhan Ram, assistant general manager, Secure Print, said: ‘We received more than 100 business enquiries and this establishes that the printing and packaging industry has come of age and demands nothing but the best when solutions and products are concerned.’

Secure Print exhibited a complete range of the products from pre-press and brand protection solutions.  Products on show included the Vinsak thermal CtP System, Vinsak Flexo Tower, hologram hot stamping machine, Vacuumatic sheet counting machine, and Vinsak VIS 1200 Inkjet System.

Vinsak brand protection solutions were also on show, including security Inks, software, substrates, as well as Track and Trace solutions. Hot stamping die making from EPGA and sleeve engraving solutions from Lead Laser, were also showcased.

The solutions designed by EPGA involve personalizing the die itself. This makes the process more adaptable and quicker to produce because printers can use the existing film. These tools can be personalized by creating a physical effect, a lens flare effect, or a holographic effect. These solutions are far cheaper than actual holograms and can be used for security as well as decorative purposes.

Ranesh Bajaj, director, Secure Print, said: ‘This was a good show, although the footfall was less but quality of visitors was good. Our team had detailed interactions with some known names in the industry and we also could sign the deals. We sold Vinsak thermal systems to Sharjah based Perfact Pack, and Oman based Al Thaiba Printing Press. Also we sold a hologram hot stamping machine to Dubai based Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing LLC, Abu Dhabi based Al Omaira Printing and Publishing and to a Nigerian based reputed press respectively. Sharjah based Al Sidra Printing Press a bought Vinsak Flexo Tower and Lombardi Flexoline Press, which helped him entering into the packaging business. We have good enquiries as well and we look forward to fruitful business relationship with all those contacts in times to come.’
