UAE converter installs Stanford kit to grow shrink-sleeve market

- Shrink-sleeve technology supplements flexible packaging operations

Middle Eastern paper, film and foil converter Concept Flexible Packaging has installed a complete set of Stanford shrink-sleeve seaming and inspection machines through XOL Automation, allowing it to ‘deliver quality products’ to all its markets.
Based in Ras al-Khaimah, one of the seven Emirates that make up the UAE, Concept recently moved into a state-of-the-art 5,200 sq m facility.
Since 2004, Concept has served domestic and multinational companies with flexible packaging material in a variety of industries including food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Strategic investment
B.R. Sharma, director of Concept, said: ‘As bottlers and food packagers continue to differentiate their products on the supermarket shelves, they are relying more and more on shrink-sleeve labels in order to increase their appeal.
‘We have made a strategic decision to support our customers in this growing and exiting market.’
