XOL Automation presents range to Middle East market

- Berhalter B 500 on show at Gulf Print & Pack 2013
- Other brands represented by XOL Automation exhibited
XOL Automation exhibited a broad selection of machinery and equipment applicable for the package printing market on its stand at Gulf Print & Pack 2013, including a Berhalter B 500 die-cutting unit (pictured, top).
The B 500 on show has been sold to Saudi Arabia’s Napco Compact. A second B 500 has also been sold into the Middle East to a company in Dubai.
The unit is able to work at a mechanical speed of up to 400 strokes per minute, and carry out various additional processes, such as embossing and inspection. It also has a unique ejection system that allows the male and female elements of the die-cutting system to be positioned closer together.
The XOL stand also included various other equipment brands applicable for packaging printers and converters in the Middle East, including Unilux stroboscopic inspection equipment, which allows surface inspection while the press is running, using handheld units to mounted pieces of apparatus up to widths of 11m.
Maxcess products, such as those from Fife, Tidland and Magpowr, were also on show, as were Hildebrand electrostatic equipment, being shown and highlighted as a means to minimize health and safety risks and improve productivity, and Maier Heidenheim rotary joints.
The Hildebrand unit, as shown at the show, is capable of charging and discharging according to the material being monitored, and can now be controlled by a smartphone application recently developed by Hildebrand, as a means to monitor multiple units on a single printing unit through one interface.
