Ashe sells Diamond duplex slitter at Loupe Americas 2026
Ashe’s 65in (1.65m) Diamond slitter sold to US converter.
Ashe Converting Equipment has sold the 65in (1.65m) Diamond duplex slitter it exhibited at Loupe Americas 2026 to a US-based converter in a deal finalized on the show floor.
‘It was our first time exhibiting such a wide slitter rewinder at a Loupe or Labelexpo show, and a direct result of the event’s rebrand and increasing focus on wider-web applications such as flexible packaging,’ said Matthew Godbold, sales director for wide-web machinery at Ashe.
‘The Diamond duplex slitter is targeted at labelstock manufacturers, flexible packaging converters and narrow web label printers who want the flexibility to slit rolls in-house to their exact specifications. During the show, we received lots of interest in the machine and many good-quality leads, and were delighted to finalize a sale to a paper and film converter based in the US.’
The servo-driven slitter uses differential rewinding techniques that the company has been developing for 35 years to enable winding of a wide range of substrates.
Ashe also announced the launch of its Go Hub embellishment platform for labels and flexible packaging. It can run as a standalone system but also in-line in, for example, a pouch-making line. The multi-functional platform can be used for digital embellishment as well for applications such as RFID. More information on this unique patented system will follow soon.
The UK manufacturer, which operates a subsidiary in the US – its biggest market, also reported strong interest in its Opal glueless turret slitter rewinder on display at the show. The 4-spindle system, part of the company’s flagship narrow web equipment range, features Ashe’s Autoset technology for quick, automated set-up. It can run in-line with existing processes or be a separate off-line, secondary operation.
‘Loupe Americas 2026 was an excellent show and it was great to see so many existing and new potential customers alike,’ said Godbold. ‘There were particularly high numbers of visitors from the US, Mexico and Central America.’
