Eclipse Labels adds advanced DigiJet and DigiLase line
The new finishing line supports Eclipse Labels’ growth into premium sectors such as wine and beverages, nutrition and luxury.

Eclipse Labels, an independent UK-based end-to-end label manufacturer, has installed A B Graphic International (ABG) Digicon Series 3 with twin-head DigiJet digital embellishment and DigiLase laser die-cutting, adding greater flexibility and capability to its operations.
Installed in April, the new finishing line supports Eclipse Labels’ growth into premium sectors such as wine and beverages, nutrition and luxury. Known for its high-end, visually striking labels, Eclipse can now offer enhanced finishes, including vibrant digital varnishes, tactile effects and textured foiling with high-quaonal clarity. The new line also enables Eclipse to expand further into the growing web-to-print market. The combination of rapid job changeovers, shorter run capabilities and outstanding finishing quality positions the business to serve this increasingly dynamic and fast-moving sector.
Darren Abbott, owner and director of Eclipse Labels, said: ‘Renowned as the world's best finishing equipment, ABG’s machines are engineered for reliability, precision and low maintenance – vital for our day-to-day operations. Everything we produce is finished on their machines because, for us, quality is non-negotiable. This latest investment helps us push further into premium markets and the web-to-print space, while automation means we can run double shifts efficiently and cost-effectively.’
The bespoke configuration of twin-head DigiJet units offers several key advantages: the ability to run cold foil and spot varnish in a single pass; the option to utilize varying heights of varnish and achieve higher builds with both heads running varnish; and increased production speed by having two heads working on the same job. Coupled with the DigiLase unit’s precision and flexibility, the system also streamlines production by reducing tooling needs and improving turnaround times.
Mark Hyde, sales manager at ABG, added: ‘Eclipse Labels are an exceptional partner to work with. Their dedication to producing top-quality work matches their trust in ABG technology. This latest installation reflects their commitment to investing in innovation and maintaining the highest standards.’
Eclipse’s finishing department is fully equipped with ABG machines across all its presses, underlining its loyalty to a single, proven technology partner. This unified approach simplifies operations and ensures consistent, repeatable quality across all production lines.
