Flexible packaging specialist Parkside has further bolstered its team of sales experts with the appointment of Luke Clark as its new business development manager.

Clark, who has almost 20 years of experience working in sales roles within the packaging industry, will be focused on growing Parkside’s consumer goods and tobacco segments as it looks to further enhance its ambitious growth plans across Europe, Middle East and Asia.

‘At Parkside, I feel we have market-leading capabilities in terms of laser technologies and this is an area that will be of particular interest to me alongside, mono plastic solutions, compostables and our new paper-based product lines that should have a fit in the food, beverage, home and personal care market sectors,’ he added.

Clark also stated that Parkside’s reputation for technical excellence and its ambitious growth plans were what enticed him to apply for the role, ‘Parkside has ambitious plans in terms of organic growth and penetrating new markets and I’m really excited to be on board to help support these objectives. I look forward to working closely with our customers, both new and existing.’

Paul McKeown, group sales director at Parkside, added: ‘I have known Luke for over 10 years. I am aware of his background knowledge and his skill set in the flexible packaging sector.
