Parkside earns global BRCGS recertification with AA rating

Certification highlights status as a compliant, safe and hygienic packaging manufacturer

Leading flexible packaging manufacturer Parkside has achieved an AA rating as part of its Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) certification.

The certification highlights Parkside’s status as a compliant, safe and hygienic packaging manufacturer, having again achieved the highest certification for food safety from the BRC, widely regarded as the gold standard in compliance.

Richard Hallas, QHSE manager at Parkside, explained: ‘This result is an important milestone within our business and we are all very proud of our achievement. The auditor was extremely complimentary of our QMS, our site, and each of our team members he met during the audit, describing our team as professional, knowledgeable, well-trained, and most of all, welcoming.

‘He was also very complimentary about the cleanliness and general condition of the site and our equipment. I couldn’t be prouder of all our team who maintain these high standards all year round.’

BRCGS is a globally-recognised certification body that provides set benchmarks for quality, safety and consumer protection, underpinning brand reputation through compliance. AA is the highest rating possible, with ratings going down through A, B, C, D, and Uncertified. It is regarded as the most rigorous certification scheme of its kind, with the prestigious AA rating being a recognised seal of quality for manufacturers across the world.

Hallas added: ‘Our next audit will be unannounced later in the year. We always strive for the highest standards of safety and quality at Parkside, and our customers rightly expect nothing less from us. We work every day to make sure those standards don’t drop by an inch.’

The AA rating continues a string of good news stories from Parkside, which recently reported strong year-on-year growth and saw its solutions recognised at the annual FIAUK awards.

Parkside works with brand owners such as All Real Nutrition, having extended cooperation with All Real Nutrition last year as the company expanded its reach in the Irish market after it secured a permanent listing with a large retailer.
