Former Avery PS label converter goes into liquidation

UK label printer Merroc Ltd – bought out by its management from Avery Dennison in 2001 – has called in the receivers.
David Hunter, partner at the receiver, Campbell Dallas, said: ‘We were appointed as the receivers of Merroc on 30 June and with the support of customers the company is continuing to trade which has allowed for a core workforce of 32 to be retained.  Unfortunately a number of staff were made redundant immediately following the Receivers appointment. We have received interest in the business from a number of parties and hope to conclude the sale of Merroc as a going concern in the coming weeks.’
