Founder of Baker Self Adhesive Label passes away

Roy Baker, who founded UK-based printer Baker Self Adhesive Label in April 1973, passed away on February 10, aged 70, after a battle with lung cancer.
‘He was well known in the early days for his no nonsense, straight dealing with suppliers, customers and employees alike, but was also held in high regard by most,’ said the company in a statement. ‘He was certainly one of the industry's characters and will be sadly missed.’
The funeral will be held on Friday 27 February at St Margaret's Church, Church Lane, Margaretting, Essex, at 1.30pm and all are welcome to attend. This will be followed by a committal at Chelmsford Crematorium, Writtle Road, Chelmsford. Refreshments will be served at the Best Western Ivy Hills & Furze Hill Hotel, Margaretting, CM4 0EH, afterwards.
As a mark of respect, both the Baker Materials and Baker Label Co. will be closed for the day.
