FSC award for Mitsubishi HiTec Paper
Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Bielefeld and Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Flensburg have announced their certification in accordance with FSC Chain of Custody in recognition of responsible forest management. Both these manufacturers of specialty papers can therefore vouch that they do not use any timber from illegal felling, timber from regions where basic civil and customary rights are abused, genetically modified timber, timber from forests worthy of special protection or timber from natural forests that have been converted into plantations or land for non-forestry use.
This underlines the efforts made by Mitsubishi HiTec Paper to ensure environmentally appropriate trade and resource protection. ‘We’re delighted about being certified in accordance with FSC CoC,’ said Gerhard Schoon, sales director for both companies. “Users can now rest assured that our papers, as well as being of excellent quality, are produced using environmentally responsible methods.’
FSC certification of the paper mills in Bielefeld and Flensburg means that selected grades from the thermoscript (thermal paper) and jetscript (digital imaging paper) product ranges can be marked with the coveted ecolabel and a unique certification number with immediate effect.
