FTA Great Lakes to host meeting in Milwaukee

The next meeting of the FTA Great Lakes Networking Group will be held at Kempsmith Machine Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 21, 2011.

Brett Burris, president of Kempsmith, will describe the company’s portfolio of converting equipment, including printers, tinters, die-cutters and shaftless unwinds. 

Labels & Labeling’s North America editor, Danielle Jerschefske will present results from the 2011 North America Label Converter Survey, discuss sustainability and demonstrate the benefits of interactive packaging as a new way of communicating to consumers. 

Victor Gomez, Durst Image Technology VP of label product sales, will talk about incorporating digital printing technology into a flexo operation. 

Food and refreshments will be provided courtesy of FlexoWash. The cost of the event is USD $10 for FTA members; $20 for non-members; and free for students.  All proceeds will go to the FFTA scholarship program.
