Gallus invests in new Screen plate production facility

Gallus move its screen printing plate business into a new production facility in the nearby Herisau plant of Huber Suhner. The investment is worth around 12M Swiss francs and includes state-of-the-art equipment and
systems for the electrolytic coating process.

Huber Suhner is a leading international manufacturer of systems for electrical and optical connectivity. Surface finishing processes are key production steps within the value chains of both companies, so there are important synergies for the expansion of Gallus' Screen operations.

From 2007 the new production site will take over the worldwide supply of Gallus Screeny screen printing plates and will be the base for what Gallus says are 'further innovations in the screen printing plate sector', as well as ensuring long-term supply to converters.
