Geon continues businesses alignment

Geon has today announced the departure of Andrew Durrans, executive general manager, New Zealand, from the New Zealand business.
Graham Morgan, CEO said: ‘The removal of the executive general manager role in New Zealand continues the streamlining of our structures, systems and processes. It is important that our Australian and New Zealand businesses are closely aligned at all levels. We must continue to flatten our management structures so that we can make the right decisions quickly across Geon. This enables us to be highly responsive to the opportunities and challenges ahead of us.’
The senior leadership team already in place will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the New Zealand business and will continue to work closely together to ensure that growth and strategic objectives are met. All members of that team will now report to a member of Geonʼs executive committee.
‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew for his enormous contribution to Geon and its predecessor companies. Andrew has over 18 yearsʼ service with our company and is a leading industry figure in New Zealand. His commitment, passion and leadership of our business has been exemplary and I know that he will be missed by our employees, customers, suppliers and broader industry players. I wish Andrew all the best in his future endeavours,’ Morgan said.
This change will take effect immediately.
