Gidue to host open house

Italian press manufacturer Gidue will host a series of open houses, on November 7-8, at the Gidue show room in Turate, near Milan. The days will consist of a conference during the morning and press presentations during the afternoon.

In the course of the summit Mr Federico d’Annunzio, managing director in Gidue, will speak about the solutions the company offers to the world of packaging. Various Gidue partners have also been asked to take part in talking about their applications in this field.

The conference will see IST Metz GmbH, supplier of UV lamps, speaking about its experiences in UV applications for packaging through case histories, special applications, technical advantages and limitations.

The contribution of Karlville Development Group, a company fabricating a complete line of shrink sleeve converting and application machines, will explain ‘How to set up your own heat shrinkable sleeve business’ with some references to all the necessary steps to build up an independent business unit for the production of heat shrinkable sleeves.

Other companies who will take part include Air Liquid, a French company specializing in industrial and medical gases; Siegwek, a leader in radiation curing technology; and Ciba Specialty Chemicals.

During the afternoon sessions, Gidue’s Athena flexo press and Xpannd offset press will be demonstrated.
