GIDUE interchangeable print head cuts costs
GIDUE has developed a new printing head for its Combat and UNIPRO series of presses. The new head provides interchangeable print cylinder flexibility irrespective of press make.
The company has enhanced the original design of its standard Flower printing head and beginning in early 2004, customers taking delivery of a new Combat or UNIPRO press with the trade marked UNIFlower print head will be able to interchange printing cylinders from other press makes and use them without modification on the new printing head. This will dramatically reduce tooling costs and inventory.
When changing the anilox roller or the diameter of the print cylinder, no adjustments are necessary. This is due to the Pitagora locking mechanism that grips the print cylinder from beneath. Job changes are simply a matter of dropping in any diameter print cylinder with immediate up-and-run at maximum speed.
