Graficom uniQ 420 installed at Spezialdruckerei

Graficon Maschinenbau AG has received an order from Spezialdruckerei 3P in Baden-Baden, Germany, to supply and install a Graficon uniQ 420 for the printing/converting of a wide pallet of substrates such as packaging-films, tube-laminates, mono- and compound-films, in web thickness of up to 400 my, as well as for the production of high-quality self-adhesive labels.
Many of the products, which will be printed on this machine, will be used as packaging for the food-industry. Today’s and specially future requirements of the food-industry and European legislations will be that packaging materials must be free, or have a minimum of ITX-residues.
To cater for all these requirements, the company 3P ordered a machine driven by high-resolution servo-drives as well as with a special UV-Curing system with inertisation technology, which demands not only a high level of investment in the machine, but also in the necessary infrastructure at the printing company.
The Graficon uniQ 420 will be supplied by Graficon Maschinenbau AG in the first quarter 2007 and will be installed at the premises of the company 3P in Baden-Baden, Germany.
