GRE open house showcases digital printer

GRE Engineering Products has been appointed exclusive European distributor for the VP2020 digital ink jet colour printer from VIPColor, USA. The machines will be demonstrated at the company’s annual Open-House in Steinebrunn, Switzerland on 12-16 April 2005.  This year’s focus will be on digital printing and technology demonstrations that will permit printers to create new business from fast turnarounds and short runs and to meet customer demands for promotions and product launches produced on the VP2020 by the digital colour ink jet technology powered by HP and  VP8020 the colour laser technology powered by Minolta.


Typical markets for the VP2020 include food, beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, automotive, home and industrial chemicals plus in-house printing. New markets also driven by on demand digital printing include the retail sector where the GRE Digital Converter with VP2020 can be used to produce full color labels for promotional trials, shelf tags, shipping labels and in-house designs to enhance and identify packaged goods throughout the supply chain.


Highlights of this year’s GRE digital gathering for printers, converters, end users and the trade media will focus on both digital printing and converting  of  short run wine labels. In addition GRE will display the units to manufacture Booklet Labels and  Linerless Labels  as well as  the company’s latest innovations and technology updates for its range of pre-owned label printing presses.
