Award-winning carton-board converter Cartonajes Santorroman has recently installed a new GSE Colorsat Compact ink dispensing system to reduce waste and improve stock control at its plant in Zaragoza, Spain.

Speaking for the company, technical director Peréz Osma commented: ‘The Colorsat Compact has integrated into our workflow very easily, performing smoothly since day one.  It prepares ink formulas rapidly and has reduced ink wastage to a minimum.’

GSE Dispensing can improve ink yields by up to 30 percent, and ensures controlled, repeatable spot-color consistency, on demand.  ‘Our customers expect outstanding print quality, and color consistency is a fundamental aspect of that,’ explained Osma.  ‘Print buyers have very specific requirements – an exact color, an exact quantity. The new ink dispensing system helps us meet those requirements.’

Founded over 100 years ago in Zaragoza, Cartonajes Santorroman today produces B1 and die-cut boxes for shoes, food and beverages, particularly for wine from the Rioja area, as well as for other industries.  With 3000 color formulae, 30 metallic colors and transparent inks in store, Cartonajes Santorroman claims it can produce any spot color on request.
