Harperscientific introduces exceptionally absorbent Prem-Tek towels
HarperScientific, the printing and coating supplies division of global anilox supplier Harper Corporation of America, has introduced Prem-Tek Towels, technologically advanced cleaning cloths with properties which make them ‘an exceptional choice for printing environments’, according to the company.
The company said in a statement: ‘Made of ultra-fine microfiber filament that is exceptionally strong, the towels are noted for extraordinary absorbency, and are virtually lint-free.
‘A single fiber, which is approximately 100 times finer than a strand of human hair, is comprised of a star-shaped core that is surrounded by wedge-shaped fibers. This unique structure results in several ‘pockets’ around each fiber, which attract and hold oil, grease, dirt, grime, film and dust, until it is washed away with mild soap or detergent. The unusual construction also allows the fibers to reach into each crack and crevice on the surface being cleaned.’
‘For thorough cleaning and absorbency, this product is absolutely amazing,’ said Jim Harper, vice president of HarperScientific. ‘Prem-Tek Towels have the highest absorption ratio of any lint-free cloth on the market. Each towel can hold seven times its weight in liquid!’
‘The Prem-Tek towels are also particularly helpful in the plate and film-making department,’ added Tony Donato, HarperScientific technical sales solutions manager. ‘Because they are so soft, they clean without scratching, and we’ve found that using them can prevent hot spots and unusable plates.’
Prem-Tek Towels are not remnants, but finished, consistent towels with bound edges, suitable for machine washing. They are available exclusively through HarperScientific.
