During 2005, HP will hold eight open-house events at select locations across Europe, to show off the digital printing capabilities of its HP Indigo press ws4050. The locations include the UK, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Germany, the Cannes Festival, France and ISE.

Riki Tzirin, marketing manager Industrial Products, elaborates: 'This exciting series of  events comprises 1 or 2 day sessions that include live demonstrations and presentations of the HP Indigo press ws4050, as well as accommodation and a VIP dinner followed by entertainment.' The open-house events will culminate in the showcasing of HP's end-to-end digital printing solution at Labelexpo in Brussels on September 21- 24.
Research indicates that around 65 per cent of current label print runs fall into the short to mid quantity range. Furthermore, the market for shrink sleeves is growing at a healthy, projected rate of seven per cent per year, and flexible packages currently own an estimated 17 per cent share of the packaging market.
Introduced as a successor to the highly successful ws4000, the HP Indigo press ws4050 extends the capabilities of HP Indigo's digital press technology into unsupported materials, enabling HP printers to take advantage of these growing applications and profitable trends in industrial printing.

'At HP, our "Total Customer Experience" approach begins with our prospects', says Alon Bar-Shany, vice president & general manager. 'We're aware of the tough challenges facing printers today, and we're committed to equipping them with competitive solutions for all their needs. The open-house events offer an opportunity for printers or potential printers to be exposed first hand to HP's technology, and to get a feel for the type of close support and partnership HP provides.'
