Industry celebrates at LMAI Avery Dennison Label awards

The Indian label industry celebrated at the LMAI Avery Dennison Labels awards 2012, held on 31 October in the Sovereign Ballroom at Le Meridien, Delhi.

The awards highlighted the success of the Indian label industry, based on the quality, creativity and functional offering of the labels submitted, as well as the technology involved in the production process.

Webtech, Update Prints, Wintek Flexo, Kumar Labels, Ajanta Packaging, Syndicate Labels, Any Graphics, Pragati Pack India, Sicon Packs, Seljegat Printers, Printmann Offset, Mudrika Labels, Holostik and Interlabels Industries were all honored for the outstanding quality and innovation of their entries.

Jade Grace, event director of Labelexpo India, said, ‘The awards reflect how the industry has moved forward in recent years and the judges commented on the high standards of all the entries received’.

A special recognition was awarded to Mike Fairley, Tarsus strategic development director, by the LMAI for his ‘pioneering research’ and contribution to the label industry in India.

Vivek Kapoor, president of Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) attributed the success of the ceremony to ‘the hard work and commitment of our awards team and the judges’ as well as ‘the generosity of our sponsors’.

Grace concluded, ‘The night was a resounding success. We would like to offer our huge congratulations to all of the winners and thank our sponsors [Nilpeter, UPM Raflatac, Labels & Labeling magazine, Vinsak & Rotatek, RotoMetrics, Omet, Gallus, Xeikon and Avery Dennison] for making all of this possible.’
