AIMCAL, SPE conference on web coating and handling set for October

The schedule for the meeting, co-organized by AIMCAL and SPE, features more than 100 sessions. The complete agenda and registration information may be viewed online at www.aimcal.org.

The conference schedule is organized in four concurrent tracks: web coating, SPE FlexPackCon, vacuum web coating and web handling. On Wednesday, Oct 12, web handling is replaced by a joint session track devoted to emerging technologies primarily related to printed electronics and solar energy.

Six optional short courses precede the keynote address on Sunday, Oct 9. On Sunday morning attendees may choose a course on web handling, coextrusion to improve barrier properties or web coating defect reduction techniques. The three afternoon options are web slitting technology, quality control techniques for the factory floor and electrostatics in web handling.

The conference schedule offers numerous opportunities for networking including table top exhibit receptions on Sunday, Oct 9, and Monday, Oct 10; the Dr Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Fun Walk/Run; a scramble golf tournament or tour of Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley; local activities and a farewell reception.
