AWA releases new PS market study

Currently the Asian region represents the highest percentage of the pressure-sensitive label market, with a 38 percent share. However, Africa and the Middle East, while currently small markets, are the fastest growing. These markets saw 3.6 percent growth last year and are a new focus point for the labeling and packaging industry.

Globally, the food and beverage end-use segments represent the highest usage of pressure-sensitive labels in primary labeling applications, with a 44 percent share of the total market.  However, transport and logistics applications represent a 47 percent share of pressure-sensitive usage today. Variable information printing is a key factor in supporting a trustworthy e-commerce/internet sales supply chain.

The pressure-sensitive label market is documented in detail in this new study. Subscribers will also receive a supplementary post-Covid-19 impact report on the market. AWA will publish this report in Q3 2020.

Details of the full AWAreness report are available on the AWA website, www.awa-bv.com.
