Cph Deutschland Chemie has won the German Award for Sustainability Projects 2021 in the category ‘Technology - Environmental Protection'
The prize was awarded for the first time by the news channel NTV, Dub Unternehmer and the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) to honor sustainable commitments. Brigitte Zypries, former federal minister, is the patron of the award.

A jury from business, science and media chaired by Yvonne Zwick, chairwoman of BAUM (Bundesdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewusstes Management), evaluated the applications. Particularly outstanding projects were honored.

‘We as cph were not only recognized for our focus on sustainability, but also for one of our new products, Regain (label adhesive),’ the company said in a statement.

Regain label adhesive, one of its new sustainable products, is the result of cooperation with  Novidon. For the Regain label adhesive, Novidon extracts starch from wastewater from the production of French fries and chips.

‘We have been setting standards in terms of environmental protection and sustainability since the early 1980s. Since then, we renounce anything unnecessary and focus on the essential components. At cph, environmental awareness is deeply rooted in the corporate strategy and is actively practiced by all employees. For us, it is not only important to be able to offer our customers sustainable adhesives, but also to continuously optimize our processes,’ the company concluded.
