Cyngient and Imageworx, two of flexographic industry leaders, have joined forces to unveil security labeling and brand protection innovations the companies have jointly developed. Labelexpo Americas 2022 visitors have the opportunity to learn, speak with experts and review print samples of never-before-seen technology.

Showcasing the advancements of high-speed microscopic flexo security printing – utilizing high-definition inks from Cyngient and enhanced resolution printing plates from Imageworx – Labelexpo attendees can view new ultra-fine lines printed in decorative, intricate, and precise patterns. These security labels hold line weights below 5 microns in thickness, plus positive type printing as low as 0.3 pt and reverse type at 0.4 pt on a 1200x microscope.

Also, at the show, Cyngient and Imageworx are showcasing an accumulation of various high-security in-line flexo additions. On display is Liquid Silver Flip, a shapeshifting cold foil technology from Wavefront Technologies, and Lumachrome, a color-shifting security foil from Meta Materials that features triple-layered micro-motion barrier effects, iridescent security varnish, and plasmonic metamaterial arrays.

In addition, Labelexpo attendees can witness the latest advancements in Micro Optical Array printing for brand protection labeling.

‘Together with Cyngient, we are showcasing an arrangement of 12 customized labels featuring high-definition inks, all printed below 1 BCM and printed using Imageworx micro-optical engineered algorithmic technology utilizing 400 LPI Micro Optical and Liquid Silver arrays,’ said Jeff Toepfer, president at Imageworx. ‘Micro Optical Array labeling is the new premier method in brand protection, featuring printed line widths as small as 2 microns, magnified by Micro Optical Arrays that transform the print into magnificent assemblage of deep 3D imagery, fast-moving animation, and brilliant color-shifting effects. Visit Booth 1415 to witness the future of brand security labeling.’

Andrew Wasserman, managing partner for Cygient, added: ‘We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering at Labelexpo with such an innovative, forward-thinking company. Visitors to our booth are blown away by not only our new security solutions but also the amazing things we’re bringing to conventional 4-color process flexo printing.’

Cyngient and Imageworx will showcase multiple high-definition flexo printed samples for the everyday printer.

‘Visitors to our booth can view firsthand the highest quality 4-color process printing available today using high-definition processes and Opti Strong white inks from Cyngient – in combination with low volume anilox rolls and proprietary SERO High Definition Modular 160 and 192 line screening from Imageworx. We’re really excited to share these innovations with the label industry at what is a fantastic Labelexpo Americas,’ commented Wasserman.

Samples from Cyngient and Imageworx are available for visitors to view and take home, featuring labels on pressure-sensitive white and clear BOPP materials and shrink sleeves.
