Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neuron disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a disease that causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles. It is characterized by stiff muscles, muscle twitching, and gradually worsening weakness due to muscles decreasing in size. Only in Europe it affects about two to three people per 100,000 per year.

The ALS Association’s mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. The association strives to achieve its mission with compassion, integrity and urgency.

‘I have committed myself and our company to support the ALS Association through volunteer and fundraising events,’ said Pete Mulheran, founding partner of Eaglewood Technologies.

Mulheran has personally raised nearly USD 17,000 during the Zion Adventure Trek in October 2019 and is heading a team in the ALS SuperHero Dash in May, 2020 in Minneapolis.

Eaglewood Technologies has also pledged a donation for each anilox roll cleaned in 2020 to the ALS Association and is encouraging customers and industry partners to also consider supporting ALS research.
