Fathom Optics offers new pricing structure

Fathom Optics, an effects software specialist, has added introductory pricing for its platform that brings printed 3D and motion graphics effects

Fathom Optics (formerly Lumii), an effects software specialist, has added introductory pricing for its platform that brings printed 3D and motion graphics effects to packaging without specialty inks or substrates and additional materials, such as lenticulars or foils.

‘Converters tell us all the time that brand owners ask them to bring in new innovations but are unwilling to pay for expensive inks and materials,’ said Tom Baran, CEO of Fathom Optics. ‘With our introductory pricing, converters of all sizes have access to stunning and eye-catching embellishments as well as unique security features. Everything is done by harnessing the power of next-gen algorithms.’

The introductory pricing is split between two software tools. The first, Fathom Designer, is offered to art departments of converters and their brand owners or outside designers. The software can integrate and preview moving graphics on 3D models and share online, end-to-end. Fathom has recently introduced a Fathom Effects plug-in for Adobe Illustrator to ensure a seamless experience for designers. It is offered at USD 10/month and free to the first 1,000 users who sign up.

The second tool, Fathom Producer, is software that converters use to take graphic designs created in Fathom Designer and bring them to press, at production scale, on the equipment they usually use. It is now being offered at USD 499/month (regular price USD 899/month).
