The Denny Bros Group has been continuing its work supporting the NHS. Its company DB Engineering has completed an order to make 500 component parts for Entonox pain relief units manufactured by Halstead based MediTech for use by the East of England Ambulance Service while transporting patients suffering from suspected coronavirus and for general use within the Ambulance Service.

The group’s Fix-A-Form label printers have also been carrying out work to support the pharmaceutical side of healthcare.

Andrew Denny, managing director of DB Engineering said: ‘The NHS, the doctors and nurses, and the Ambulance Service all play a heroic role and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the national effort to help people survive coronavirus.’

Chris Buckenham, managing director of MediTech added: ‘Fix-a-Form contacted us after seeing a piece on the local news about our other work on ventilators. They explained what they did and asked if there was anything that they could do to help. We needed these parts made up for the Entonox units and they produced all 500 for us in the space of a few days, which is great.’

A West Suffolk business has been praised by the leader of West Suffolk Council for the role it is playing in responding to Covidf-19. Councillor John Griffiths said: ‘The ingenuity of the manufacturing companies that we have here in and around West Suffolk never ceases to amaze me. Denny Bros is a family firm with an impressive and established history in Bury St Edmunds and worked with the council last year to launch the Advanced Manufacturing Group, representing the voice of this important business sector.

They have now stepped in to quickly produce these components which will be used by the NHS as they treat people suffering from coronavirus and I want to thank them for all they have and are continuing to do during this current crisis.’
