FTA reveals 2020 Excellence in Flexography Awards

FTA has announced the recipients of the 2020 FTA Excellence in Flexography Awards, the premier awards program for the flexographic industry during the first of three days of its Virtual Forum 2020.

iTek Packz’s Himalaya Ayurveda Clear Skin Soap Carton received Best of Show in the narrow web category in the 2020 FTYA Awards competition

The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has handed out a total of 91 awards were given in this year’s competition, including 32 gold awards, 30 silver awards, 28 bronze awards and one self-promotion award.

‘Converters are getting very innovative to bring new ideas and products to their brand owners, and this year’s entries showed it. Product embellishments continue to display new innovations and decorative appeal, making the cream rise to the top,’ said Paul Teachout of PT Consultant Group and Excellence in Flexography Awards committee member. ‘It does not matter if it was from a larger converter group or a single-roof facility. We saw winners from all printers, big and small, and that is exactly how it should be.’

From the pool of gold award-winning prints, iTek Packz’s Himalaya Ayurveda Clear Skin Soap Carton received Best of Show in the narrow web category. The FTA’s awards were also given to other narrow web convertes such as McDowell Label, Phoenix Label Co, Berry Global, Innovar Packaging Group, Label Tech, AWT Labels, Multi-Color Corp, Bay Tech Label, Emirates Printing Press, Labeltronix, Smyth Companies, Artcraft Label and Vintage 99 Label.

In addition to the Excellence in Flexography Awards, FTA also announced the recipients of its other honors and awards, including the 2020 Technical Innovation Award (Miraclon, Hybrid Software), 2020 Sustainability Excellence Award, President’s Award honorees and Hall of Fame inductee.
