GEW appoints agent for DACH region

GEW has partnered with Chromos Printing to represent the company for all sheetfed UV curing business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

Chromos Printing has partnered with GEW to represent the company for all sheetfed UV curing business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, supplementing the broader business activities of GEW’s German subsidiary office in Unterensingen.

Founded in 1946, Chromos employs a team of 160 in Dielsdorf, Switzerland, and at further sites in Germany, Austria, and Sweden representing many leading global brands in the region, including RMGT/Ryobi, HP Indigo, A B Graphic International, Omet, Weilburger Graphics, Fujifilm, Siegwerk, and many more. 

‘We have long-standing experience in the printing marketplace, as a solution partner in conventional commercial and newspaper printing in the areas of pre-press, presses, pressroom, and finishing,’ commented Heinrich Maag, sales manager for offset machines at Chromos Group. ‘To add to this, we are a solution partner in digital commercial sheetfed, commercial web, label, packaging, and folding carton printing, in the areas of presses and finishing. We also offer servicing and spare parts for our brands.

‘Chromos has worked for many years with a leading manufacturer of UV curing systems for the graphic arts industry, and our technicians have successfully integrated UV LED systems into existing and new printing machines from a wide variety of manufacturers. Over the past eight years, we have gained a huge amount of know-how in LED technology for sheetfed printing.’
