Industry events affected by Covid-19

In light of the current situation with Coronavirus/Covid-19, many industry events have been rescheduled or cancelled. Below is a running list of events affected by the current health crisis:

AIPIA Smart Packaging Summit USA

The summit, originally set to take place June 1-2, 2020 at the Westin Hotel in Jersey City, New Jersey, has been postponed. More information and new dates are forthcoming.

AWA International Sleeve Label Conference

AWA Conferences & Events are postponing the AWA International Sleeve Label Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, originally scheduled to take place between 29 April and 1 May. The event will now take place 2-4 November 2020 in the same location.

Converters Expo

The Converters Expo has been postponed from April 29-30 to August 24-25, 2020. The event will be held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

drupa

Messe Düsseldorf has postponed its drupa trade fair scheduled for June 16-26, 2020 until April 20-30, 2021.

This decision was in compliance with a ruling that was issued by the city of Düsseldorf on 11 March 2020, in which major events with more than 1,000 participants present at the same time are generally prohibited. Read more here.

Dscoop

Dscoop’s decided to reschedule Edge Orlando 2020 to a later date. The new dates and location are to be confirmed. Read more here.

EskoWorld 2020

Esko has cancelled EskoWorld 2020. The annual technology-focused event had been scheduled to take place from April 28-30 in Dallas, Texas.

Empack Utrecht

The event, originally scheduled for 31 March 2020 – 02 April 2020, has been postponed. The new dates are 23-35 June 2020.

EXPO PACK Mexico

EXPO PACK Mexico has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. The event was originally set for June 2-5, 2020, Expo Santa Fe Mexico, Mexico City. The event will return to Mexico in 2021.

Show management will be reaching out to exhibitors with further details regarding their space payments for the show in the coming weeks. All of the online components of EXPO PACK Mexico will remain available to exhibitors and attendees, via expopackmexico.com.mx.

Finat European Label Forum 

The European Label Forum (ELF), originally set to take place June 3-5, 2020, has been cancelled.

Finat plans to integrate parts of the ELF into their technical seminar, which will be held in November/December 2020 in Barcelona. The exact date and further details are forthcoming.

The next ELF event will be during the last week of May 2021.

FTA Forum & Infoflex 2020

Flexographic Technical Association has cancelled Forum and Infoflex 2020, after the Ohio governor banned mass gatherings.

Due to the hastened nature of this decision, the cancellation policy details are forthcoming for those who had registered to attend, purchased a booth, or paid for a sponsorship.

The content that was developed for the forum program will be available to members either through the fall conference program or via Zoom Meeting. The other awards and presentations will also be distributed, though method and timeline are to be determined.

Global Pouch Forum

The Global Pouch Forum has been postponed from June 16-18, 2020 to September 9-11, 2020. It will still be held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, IL.

HOW Design Live

HOW Design Live, which had been scheduled for May 4-7, 2020, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachutsetts, has been postponed to a later date in 2020. New dates and location are to be determined.

If you've already registered for HOW Design Live, your registration and participation is unchanged and valid for the rescheduled 2020 event.

interpack

Messe Düsseldorf is postponing the international trade fair interpack. Originally scheduled for May 7-13, 2020 at Convention Center Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf, Germany, it will now take place from February 25 to March 3, 2021.

Labelexpo Southeast Asia

Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2020, due to take place at Bangkok’s International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) from 7 – 9 May 2020, has been postponed. The show will now take place on 10 – 12 September 2020. More details here.
