INX to host Color Perfection Program

INX International Ink will host INX Color Perfection program for beverage can design and decorating at the May 2-5 Craft Brewers Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center (booth 327).

The 2021 winning design of Colored By INX Can Design contest
A Cleveland craft brewer recently used the program to create an award-winning can design, pointed out INX Color Perfection manager Sarah Jacks, who will be available to meet with attendees in the INX booth.

‘Great Lakes Brewing was voted the winner of our Colored By INX Can Design contest last year. They used several colors from the INX Color Perfection program to create a unique design for their new Crushworthy Lo-Cal Citrus Wheat beer. It provided them with a fast and accurate means of color selection, and a cost effective approach to color management to help get their product to the marketplace faster. I’ve heard their sales are doing quite well.’

Jacks further explained the value of streamlining and standardizing the color process using the INX Color Perfection program. It begins with the INX 2-Piece Color Catalog that includes more than 600 removable metal color swatches, and the corresponding Adobe Digital Color Library. Digital Proofing provides the opportunity to produce a single digital print or more, and INX University provides free online metal decoration educational courses.

Officials at Great Lakes Brewing agreed the program is highly beneficial to them.

‘The INX Color Catalog was critical for establishing a consistent visual harmony among all of our packaging and promotional needs,’ said Jameson Campbell, the creative leader of Great Lake’s design team. ‘Using it allowed us to sync can and packaging production, which improved not only the design process from a consistency standpoint, but made for an efficient approval process with our suppliers. It gave us those crucial impactful, expressive results we aim for each time we introduce a new brand or package.’

This year’s Colored by INX Can Design contest is open to all who used the INX Color Catalog to produce a commercial can design that reached the market prior to January 1, 2022. Entries must be postmarked by April 29, and information is available online regarding full contest rules.
