Klöckner Pentaplast Thailand starts new production line

Klöckner Pentaplast, a global manufacturer of rigid plastic film and packaging products, has added a new PET production line at Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Rayong in Thailand.

With this strategic investment, Klöckner Pentaplast in Thailand is responding to the rising demand for PET packaging from the food industry.

Giles Peacock, group senior vice president for food and consumer packaging at Klöckner Pentaplast, said: ‘Demand for single and multilayer food packaging is growing very quickly. We invested in the new production line which enables us to fulfill the high expectations for standard and high quality films for the local Thai market.’

Klöckner Pentaplast has a long experience in food films globally and has added this new production line to serve the rising demand for electronic and food packaging in Thailand. To support the growth of main customers in Asia and the Middle East, Klöckner Pentaplast has more than 200 employees in Thailand, with 15 to work on the new line. The company also has a dedicated sales force working hand-in-hand with brand owners, packaging experts and converters to help ensure success.
