Mitsubishi HiTec Paper passes monitoring audit

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper said it ‘highly values the environmentally conscious and sustainable production’ of its coated specialty papers; this was reaffirmed by the successful FSC monitoring audit and the PEFC recertification of their mills in Bielefeld and Flensburg. All coated specialty papers produced in both mills are still available FSC Mix or PEFC certified.

‘The world is facing major climatic and social challenges. It is therefore all the more important for us to ensure that the raw materials we use and our products meet the highest standards in terms of sustainability and social responsibility,’ said Nic Holmer, director sales and marketing at Mitsubishi HiTec Paper. ‘When it comes to sustainability, our Barricote barrier papers for flexible food packaging are particularly relevant: as a replacement for plastic packaging, they are completely recyclable and thus protect not only food and consumers, but also the environment.’
