Omet to open new facility with hybrid printing open house

Located in Molteno, close to Omet’s current headquarters in Lecco, Omet Drome will host the Omet Hybrid Experience event, which will focus on the opportunities offered by hybrid digital printing technology in the label market. Guests will have the opportunity to see the hybrid printing performance of Omet XJet, powered by Durst, and to see special live demonstrations on the Omet iFlex in a hybrid curing configuration with UV and UV LED.

XJet is a hybrid machine combining Durst’s inkjet know-how configured in-line with Omet finishing and converting units.

The event will also see Durst product manager Martin Leitner give a presentation on ‘New Frontiers of Digital Printing’ before Francesco Niorettini, CEO at Italgrafica Sistemi, tells his personal experience as the first XJet user.

Sergio Veneziani, product manager for Ritrama’s Core Linerless Solution, will also present on ‘Linerless Label, the future is coming’, while a new off-line module for linerless label production will be on show. Omet and Ritrama revealed a partnership at Labelexpo Americas 2018 to make new converting equipment available for Ritrama’s Core Linerless Solution.
