PPC Flexible Packaging receives SQF certification

PPC Flexible Packaging, a supplier for specialty food, healthcare, and horticultural markets, has announced that HFM PPC has been certified to the Safe Quality Food (SQF) code, a global food safety program.

PPC Flexible Packaging receives Level 2 SQF certification

The SQF program is administered by the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) in the United States and is recognized by retailers, brand owners, and food service providers as one of the most rigorous and comprehensive food safety and quality standards in the world.

Certification, issued by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), requires the establishment of a rigorous, comprehensive food safety program through every step of the supply chain. GFSI is a group of food safety experts that drives continuous improvement in food safety management systems around the world.

‘We are very excited about the new SQF Level 2 certification. The Pewaukee facility has been serving food packaging customers under an AIB certification for many years. With the new certification, we are looking forward to supporting new brand owners and co-packers that require a higher level of food safety and security,’ commented Mark Mawer, vice president and general manager at HFM Packaging.
